VENTZESLAV YOSSIFOV SUMMONED AGAIN TO THE INVESTIGATION OFFICE
On May 3, 2001 the specialised Investigation Office called Ventzeslav Yossifov, former chairman of the Board of Directors of the bankrupt First Private Bank (FPB). He has not yet paid the requested guarantee of BGL50,000 after he was charged for the launching of 195 credits by FPB on February 16, 2001. The term of the guarantee expired on March 2, 2001. Close relatives of the former banker said that on the same day he went to hospital for an operation.
Now the investigators may request the Sofia Prosecutor's Office to replace the money guarantee measure with with putting him in custody. Before the prosecutors made their decision Yossifov requested a reduction of the money guarantee. The court decision will probably be in his favour. If so, then Yossifov will pay and will remain free.
