The EIBANK-controlled Pamporovo tourist company has a new Executive Director since the beginning of the week, the BANKER weekly learned. Resmi Resmiev was replaced by Nikolay Iliev, who was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the company at the end of 2003. Ognyan Gyunkin who was in charge of the hotels of the resort was dismissed, too.According to sources from the branch, the changes made to the company's management are not accidental. They are related to the sale of the Perelik hotel by EIBANK to the Bulgarian-American Enterprise Fund (BAEF), concluded late last week. There has been no such deal, Sofia Tsankova, member of Pamporovo AD Board of Directors, told the BANKER weekly. BAEF did not confirm the information, either. However, it is not a secret that since last year EIBANK has been looking for someone to buy the four-star hotel, as well as the whole company which assets also include the Arfa villa, the cable car equipment and the motor base of the resort. Interest in these sites has been shown by Vetko Arabadzhiev and Stefan Sharlopov who are respectively owners of the Pamporovo and Murgavets hotels. However, the two businessmen find the requested sale price of USD11MN unreasonably high.
