AGRICULTURE FUND HAS RAISED SUBSIDY FOR SOWING
The Zemedelie (Agriculture) state fund has set aside additionally BGN2.8MN for the autumn sowing campaign. The money is ensured by financial lines whose deadline for negotiation has already expired.
BGN1.67MN of that money is earmarked for subsidising farmers who have purchased fertilizers for growing 2006 crop wheat. This is an additional free aid of BGN0.65 per decare. Agricultural producers will use the money after signing annexes to the already closed contracts for target credits, intended for the purchase of fertilizers. Farmers will have the opportunity to apply for subsidies for the same plots for which loans have been drawn. Most of the money will be granted by December 20.
Another BGN1.2MN has been set aside for financing part of the expenses for sowing wheat and agricultural producers will get BGN2 per decare.
