UNION MINIERE POURS ANOTHER BGL160MN IN PIRDOP
The managers of Union Miniere Pridop Med are again (as last year) planning to increase the equity capital of the anode and cathode copper manufacturer. The general meeting of the company's shareholders, scheduled for September 7, is to vote for a double increase of the companies shares in circulation. If this item in the agenda is approved and the subscription is successfully completed, the capital of the Pirdop-based copper smelter will reach BGL23,080,512.
No problems are expected for voting it as from the beginning fo 2001 the Belgian Union Miniere holds 99.96% of the stock in the Bulgarian enterprise. The issue value of each of the new shares will be BGL14 apiece - the same as when the former capital increase was made. Thus, the amount of collected money may reach BGL161MN.
