TRANSCART LISTED ON STOCK EXCHANGE
Although slowly the number of new companies, listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange-Sofia (BSE-Sofia), have begun to increase. Transcart, the first Bulgarian card operator, is the most recently registered public company. Initially, Transcart will put up for trade 250,000 shares, representing 5% of its capital. They will be offered to investors at a mixed, closed auction, to be held in the June 20-24 period. The price per share has been set at BGN8, and EUROBANK is the investment underwriter who will effect the secondary public offering of the paper. Trade in the securities will start on June 27 on the official segment C of the exchange. In the words of Viktor Papazov, Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD) of BSE-Sofia, 35% of the company's capital will be offered in portions during the next few months. According to Hristo Georgiev, BoD Chairman of Transcart, the thrust in the company will increase once it goes public. At a special press conference Mr. Georgiev said that a company with so many clients should be traded on the stock exchange. The card operator has 160,000 card holders and a network of 4,000 terminals in 225 population centres. The number of its clients has increased by 40% since the end of 2004.
