TRADE AGREEMENT WITH BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA SIGNED
On May 8 the Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Bozhidar Bozhinov and his counterpart of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a trade agreement for mutual cooperation between the two organizations.By the end of this year the two governments will prepare and sign three more agreements: for trade and economic cooperation, for promotion and mutual protection of investments, and a free trade agreement, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Economy Nikolay Vassilev said on Monday (May 5) at the opening of the International Spring Fair in Plovdiv. Bulgaria has run a trade surplus in its commerce with Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2002 our exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina totalled USD10.6MN, and imports from there amounted to USD879,000. Bulgaria's export list to the former Yugoslavian republic includes paper, footwear, paste products, ready-made clothes and knitwear, fresh vegetables and cans.
