THE OFFER OF DM14MN FOR DANIELLI IS WAITING FOR A PREMIUM BIDDER
At the beginning of next week will be fixed the date for the first round of discussions with the potential investors, approved for bidding for the famous Danielli line, owned by the almost bankrupt Kamet plant in the city of Pernik. On Nov 3 the Ministry of Economy announced that after opening the six offers, two of them have been denounced - those of Fericom Ltd. and Sido Spirov Kishkilov, both from Sofia, since the documents, evidencing the deposited amount, were missing. As the Banker weekly was informed, the ministry is currently checking the bank guarantees of the rest of the bidders: the British company Triant International, the German Geodike, the Finnish Hansatiko and the Plovdiv holding Neva.
Real bargain will start after receiving the necessary confirmations from the respective credit institutions. For the moment all four investors meet the requirements, described in the information memorandum for the sale of Danielli - the mini-plant designed for production of high quality steel. Kamet managers hope there are good prospects the unique lines, imported from Italy nine years ago, to be sold at good price.
The four bidders have currently offered a price exceeding DM14MN, bu it is expected that they may considerably raise their offers during the negotiations.
