SWEDESH FISSON WILLING TO INVEST UP TO USD50MN IN VARNA SHIPYARD
Between USD30MN and USD50MN may be invested in Varna Shipyard AD if we sign a deal for acquiring the shipyard, Mariela Ortega-Nordel, representative of the Swedish company Fisson Invest, stated. Experts of Fisson Invest met with Ivan Boyadjiev, Executive Director of Varna Shipyard, and were invited to take a look around.
Sten Ask, Swedish Ambassador to Bulgaria, and George Alexandrov, Program Director of the International Financial Corporation /IFC/, were among the visitors at the Varna Shipyard, too. IFC is a member of the World Bank group and may accept a business proposal to take part in the deal. IFC has already assisted two deals for shipyards in Croatia and Ukraine.
The Swedish representatives announced that Italian and US companies operating in the branch may join the offer of Fisson as well.
