SONY-BULGARIA TURNS TEN

Sony-Bulgaria will launch its newest products for its 10th anniversary. The campaign started on May 22 and will continue till June 30. Within that period Bulgarian consumers will be able to purchase equipment bearing the company's trade mark at preferential prices. As of May Sony's market share in this country was 17%-18%, specified Angel Kugijsky, Manager of Household Electronics Department for the Balkans. He pointed to the economic crisis in 1996 during the government of socialist premier Zhan Videnov as the most difficult period in the company's operation in Bulgaria. We have been successfully operating on the local market throughout all those years. We have established and we are maintaining direct relations with our clients. We highly value our achievements and the fact that we are among the leaders on the Bulgarian market, the Manager of Sony-Bulgaria Naobumi Nomura said. The company was registered as a subsidiary of Sony Europe on April 1, 1994. It has 10 employees in Bulgaria, 27 authorized service centres in the country, and a representative office in Macedonia.
