SISEJAM TO END RESEARCH IN TARGOVISHTE IN MARCH
Studies of the field in Targovishte on which the Turkish Sisejam company is going to build two plants totally worth USD160MN will be completed in a month and a half, Alev Yaraman, Vice President of the company, said at the end of a meeting with Bulgaria's Prime-Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and the Deputy Premier and Minister of Economy Lidiya Shouleva on January 13. Tender dossiers for the construction companies are already being prepared, Mr. Yaraman said. The acquisition of construction materials will start in the spring. According to the plans, the flat glass and glass packing factories will be completed in 2005. They will employ some 700 people. The entire output will be exported.Attracting an investor of such a scale in a region of high unemployment is a sign that the government has created suitable investment conditions, Ms. Shouleva underlined. This investment is a kind of a test for the amendments to the Investment Encouragement Act that are currently being discussed, she added.
