PLOVDIV FAIR TO PREPARE ITS INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
International Fair EAD has prepared an ambitious investment project. This was announced by the company's executive directors Alexander Diakov and Yordan Radev at a press conference on Thursday (September 19). The programme foresees construction of a multi-functional hall on an area of 6,000 sq m at the site of Hall No 6, which will be working all the year round. Mr. Radev informed that it will host congresses, cultural and sports events. This investment is preestimated at between BGN8MN and BGN10MN. The project also plans construction of Hall No 1, reconstruction of the central entrance of the Plovdiv Fair ground, as well as the construction of a new restaurant, a hotel and a three-level parking lot. The 2002 Autumn Fair is organized 110 years after the First Exhibition in Plovdiv. The participants are 2,220 firms (among them 1,047 Bulgarian companies) from 42 countries. The International Technical Fair will be opened on September 30 by the Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
