PIRITTA SORSA TO REPLACE PETER STELLA
Finish Piritta Sorsa will replace Peter Stella as resident representative of IMF for Bulgaria, the press center of the Ministry of Finance announced.
Mrs. Sorsa has worked in the fund since 1994. Before being appointed to Bulgaria she was Deputy Leader of the IMF mission to Honduras. Before that she had worked in the IMF missions to Algeria, Bulgaria, Chile, and Korea.
From 1985 to 1988 and then from 1990 to 1994 Piritta Sorsa was in the World Bank where she was economist and supreme economist for Africa, Thailand and the Baltic countries.
She graduated from the Economics University in the Finish town of Turku and defended her doctoral degree on International Economics in The Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva.
