PARSONS GOT EUR16.88MN IN ADVANCE FOR BELENE N-PLANT
The National Electricity Company (NEC) has picked Parsons EC Europe Limited as architect-engineer for financing and building the Belene N-plant. The contract was signed by NEC's Executive Director Vassil Atanassov and Parsons' Vice President Djurica Tankosic, back on January 31, but it was officially announced about it only in the beginning of this week. The project will be implemented in two stages. The first one is from the signing of the contract till the financial conclusion of the project, and the second one covers the construction of the new N-plant and its commissioning. According to the official statement, the term of the contract is ten years and thе price of thе first stage is EUR16.88MN. The project will be carried out through the company's local subsidiary Parsons EC Bulgaria. Within the legally set seven-day term the NEC has officially notified the Public Procurement Agency about the results of the procedure, the company's press centre announced.
