NEC BEGAN EXPORTING ELECTRICITY TO GREECE

On June 11 the National Electric Company (NEC) started exporting 250 megawatts of electricity to Greece, Danail Tafrov, chief of the company, announced. NEC will also export 100 megawatts to Macedonia and 100 to 150 megawatts to Kosovo. According to a contract with Enron, 100 megawatts will be exported to Italy via Greece.
USD4.166MN is expected from the sale of electricity to Kosovo and Hungary in July and August this year.
NEC may transit Romanian electricity to Greece too after signing the additional protocol for transiting under the European Energy Charter. Bulgaria adopted the document in line with the negotiations for
