MOODY'S ASSIGNED B2 RATING ON FIRST EAST INTERNATIONAL BANK
On 29 January, 2002 the international rating agency Moody's Investors Service assigned for the first time ratings on First East International Bank (FEIB). The long-term and short-term bank deposits in foreign currency were assigned 'B2' with stable outlook. The B2 rating for the long-term deposits is the highest one that could be given to a Bulgarian bank. It is based on the present stable deposit base, the improving credit portfolio as well as on the high level of the capital-to-assets ratio. FEIB's financial stability has been assigned 'E+', outlook stable. FEIB is the fifth bank in Bulgaria, appraised by a world rating agency. The other four banks are: BULBANK, United Bulgarian Bank, First Investment Bank and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank.
