KIRKOV REPLACED MUNNERY UNDER THE HELM OF BIBA
Kirko Kirkov succeeded John Munnery as a President of the Bulgarian International Business Association (BIBA). The decision was made on May 7, 2001, by BIBA General Assembly which took place at the Sheraton Sofia Balkan Hotel. Since September 15, 2000 Kirkov has been Union Miniere Pirdop Med's Executive Director. Before that, since 1998 he had chaired the Management Board of the Razgrad based Amillum Bulgaria JSCo. plant - the first company privatised by the Belgian investors. After appointing Kirkov in Pirdop, he retained his membership at the Razgrad plant's Supervisory Board.
John Munnery, Executive Director of the Radio Telecommunications Company (owner of the Mobicom trade mark), withdrew from the position he held in a special letter to BIBA members. There he explained that he has already held BIBA leader's position for eight years. Yet he will remain a member of BIBA Management Board. The other members elected at BIBA Management Board were Dimitar Alexiev - Executive Director of Zagorka Brewery, Thomas Higgins - Bulgarian - American Credit Bank, Stephen Strauss - International Commercial Bank, Emilian Abadjiev - Metro Cash Carry, and Radko Stamenov - Shell Bulgaria.
