FIFTY GERMAN COMPANIES SEEK BULGARIAN PARTNERS
A two-day exchange for Bulgarian and German firms from the sphere of agriculture, food-processing, leisure industry, power engineering, construction, and transport, was opened on October 3 in the Hilton Sofia Hotel by Deputy Minister of Economy Dimitar Hadjinikolov, Economy Minister of the German province of Nordrhein-Westfalia Ernst Schwanhold, and Germany's Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Ursula Zeiler-Ulbring. Bilateral cooperation in food-processing is most developed. In Nordrhein-Westfalia we worked out the Foods-Processing initiative, uniting know-how of thousands of firms from that privince. Our idea is to set up a network of Bulgarian and German companies because this branch is of extreme importance to your country and we could assist it to make considerable progress, Mr. Schwanhold said. According to him, the firms from Nordrhein-Westfalia are interested in setting up joint enterprises in the sphere of lesiure industry and construction as well. Fifty Bulgarian and as much German companies seized the opportunity to establish business contacts during the forum on October 3 and 4.
