EU TO SEND ITS STANCE ON FINANCIAL CHAPTERS
By the end of this month the European Commission (EC) will send to the Council of Ministers its stance on the still unclosed chapters of Bulgaria's negotiations with the European Union (EU): Agriculture, Budget Policy, Regional Policy and Competition, Deputy Premier Plamen Panayotov announced after his working lunch with the ambassadors of the EU member countries. The talks were held under the motto From full-fledged membership in NATO to full-fledged membership in the EU.During the working lunch Mr. Panayotov once again confirmed Bulgaria's readiness to finalize the process of negotiations by the end of Ireland's presidency of the EU and to sign the accession agreement next year. He acquainted the ambassadors with the fulfilment of specific tasks, set during their previous meeting. One of them was to ensure a relieved regime for registration and stay in Bulgaria of citizens from the EU member states. The meeting was attended by Austin Gormley, Charge d'Affaires of Ireland to Bulgaria.
