DSK BANK HAS DIVED INTO BIG CORPORATE CREDITING
DSK Bank and its owner - Hungary's OTP bank have signed an agreement for financing the construction of Mall of Sofia - the biggest entertainment and trade centre in Bulgaria. The two banks will extend credits of EUR36.5MN for the project's implementation. The loan from DSK Bank will amount to EUR 12.5MN, and OTP will extend EUR24MN. The money will paid to the building contractor Aviv Group and to the company that will equip Mall of Sofia and the IMAX stereo cinema, to be effected by City Cinema International - an expert in entertainment centres. The Mall of Sofia project, to be implemented by the two companies, will spread on 70,000 sq. m in the Opalchenska street and Al. Stambolijski boulevard. There will be 140 stores in it, a hypermarket, offices, and 12 cinema halls. The only IMAX cinema in the Balkans will be located there as well. The contract for financing the project was signed on June 8 by the executive directors of DSK Bank Diana Miteva and Georgi Zhelev, by the Managing Director of OTP's Project Financing Department Miclosh Nemet, and by the mall's General Manager Eli Egosy. DSK Bank is preparing to finance several more big projects, for which candidates demand credits of BGN15MN to BGN20MN. Currently, the financial institution's executive directors are reluctant to specify the names of the companies with which negotiations are being held, but within the bank talks are going on that these are projects in the sphere of power industry and for building big trade centres.
