DOVERIE HOLDING TO BUILD ITS OWN HOSPITAL IN SOFIA
Doverie Holding is planning to build and furnish the first multiprofile private hospital in Bulgaria. The hospital will be located in the Sofia district of Ovcha Kupel and will be ready in two years, said Tsonko Nedyalkov, Executive Director of Doverie Health Insurance Fund. According to the plans, the hospital will be built on 5,000 square metres and the investments will total BGN5MN. The fund's procurator, Dr. Mimmy Vitkova, explained that BGN1MN of this amount will be invested in the completion of a polyclinic in the same district which building was initiated ten years ago. Two new two-storey buildings will be constructed under the same project, too.The new hospital will provide 60 beds. Doverie Holding is also planning to build a diagnostic centre in Ovcha Kupel by next March. This is the only district in Sofia that has no medical centre yet.The site was given to Doverie Holding for a thirty-year period due to a decision of the Sofia Municipal Council from July 2001. The construction of medical centres was the only requirement of the council.Doverie is one of the two licensed health insurance funds in Bulgaria, said Tsonko Nedyalkov. The fund has its own doctors and labour medicine services in all the thirty companies of the holding. Among them are Medika-Sandanski and Momina Krepost in Veliko Turnovo. Doverie has insured 13,500 clients since the beginning of the current year, while 10,000 of them are employed in the holding companies.
