CRAFTSMEN TO APPROACH THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT ABOUT PATENT TAX
By Friday (January 18) the Bulgarian Chamber of Craftsmen will lay a claim at the Constitutional Court against the Natural Persons' Income Taxation Act, the branch organisation's Chairman Rangel Cholakov announced at a press conference on January 15. According to him, the provisions in the law place at unequal footing the economic entities, on whose operation a patent tax is levied, and the firms, registered under the Corporate Income Taxation Act.With the latest amendments to the Natural Persons' Income Taxation Act the patent tax on some crafts rose 5-6 times. The increase for the sanitary and cosmetic activities is the most drastic. In addition to the patent tax the firms providing such services will have to pay additionally for each working place, and not as until now - for each employed person. A beautician should have at least two working places as per the requirements of the Hygienic and Epidemiological Institute, Daniela Spassova, Executive Director of the Health and Beauty Federation, specified.
