CHINA DONATES USD650,000 TO BULGARIA
China's government launched USD650,000 free financial assistance to Bulgaria, it came out during the visit of a Chinese governmental delegation to Sofia. Stimulation of tourism and trade between the two countries were the major topics of the discussions, said Bulgaria's Vice Premier, Nikolay Vassilev, on a special press conference.A protocol amending and completing the Agreement on Avoiding Double Taxation between Bulgaria and China was signed during the visit. Deputy Finance Minister Gati al-Jebouri signed the document on behalf of the Bulgarian state.Bulgaria to be included in the special lists of tourist destinations supported by the Chinese government, asked Bulgarian representatives in the discussions. Beijing's experts, in turn, asked that the Bulgarian government support the application of Shanghai to host the World Expo 2010 exhibition.Trade turnover between Bulgaria and China amounts to USD96MN in 2001.
