BULGARIAN TOURISM PRESENTED TO AN EC COMMITEE
Bulgaria's policy on the development of tourism was presented at a meeting of the Advisory Commitee on Tourism in Brussels on April 26. Deputy Economy Minister Mariana Assenova took part in the work of the committee.
The Advisory Committee is a subsidiary body of the European Commission and its purpose is to enhance the exchange of information and cooperation in the tourist industry. The applicants for European Union membership participated in a meeting of the committee for the first time. The meeting discussed EU resolutions, recommendations and reports concerning tourism. The attending experts discussed also the partnership between state administrations and the private tourist sector in the area of IT, personnel training, environmental protection and sustainable development of tourism.
