BULGARIA TO SHARE EUR41MN WITH ITS NEIGHBOURS
Bulgaria, together with Greece, Romania, Macedonia, and Serbia and Montenegro, will implement projects worth EUR41MN in the field of infrastructure and environment. The money is provided by the PHARE Cross-Border Cooperation program for the current year. The Bulgarian proposals which will be financed by the European budget were discussed by the European Integration Council in the Council of Ministers on September 29. It became clear after the meeting that the Bulgarian Deputy Premier Plamen Panayotov is going to sign an agreement for collaboration between the Government and the Bulgarian Economic and Social Council that includes representatives of branch organisations and trade-unions. The document will aim at providing the business with more information about the commitments Bulgaria has taken in the course of its negotiations with the European Commission. The suggestion for signing this agreement came last June during the visit of Roger Briesch, President of the European Economic and Social Committee.
