President Peter Stoyanov and Deputy Premier and Minister of Economy Nikolai Vassilev met on July 25 in London members of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). At the meeting, which was attended by EBRD President Jean Lemierre as well, two new projects on loans for improving the safety of the Kozlodoui Nuclear Power Plant were discussed. EBRD representatives are expected to visit Bulgaria in the beginning of September 2001. Mr. Vassilev also held talks with experts of Deutsche Bank, London. After the meeting he said the Germans got fed up with being consultants on the privatisation of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company and a new tender will be probably invited to choose a new consultant.
Hening Schulte-Nyole, President of Allianz, Munich, who visited Bulgaria two weeks ago, took up on July 23 his duties as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dresderbank, succeeding the former chairman Dr. Alfons Titsrat.
